Mark 9 keeps confronting the same problem: we keep putting ourselves at the center when Jesus belongs there. From the mountaintop to the disciples’ failures and arguments below, God’s answer remains the same: “Listen to Him”—until we see no one but Jesus.

Mark 8 asks a question that reaches far beyond bread, miracles, and signs: Is Jesus enough when what we have isn’t enough and the road ahead isn’t the one we would have chosen? From feeding the four thousand to Peter’s confession of Christ, Jesus calls us to remember what He has done, trust who He is, and follow Him even when we cannot yet see where the journey leads.

Mark 7 confronts one of the greatest dangers of faith: looking righteous while our hearts remain far from God. Jesus exposes empty religion, celebrates authentic faith, and reveals that true authority is found not in tradition or appearances, but in a heart transformed by Him.
